Active Day Celebrates National Adult Day Services Week in SeptemberAugust 28, 2019
TREVOSE, PA – August 28, 2019 – Active Day, the leading provider of adult day care in the United States, begins a weeklong celebration of National Adult Day Services Week throughout its ~100 centers from Monday, September 16, through Saturday, September 21. This year’s theme is “Voice, Vision and Value.”
This special week has been celebrated annually since it was proclaimed on September 27, 1983, by former President Ronald Reagan. The third complete week of September is set aside to raise awareness of the availability and accessibility of adult day programs nationwide. Active Day centers will observe this week with open houses, visits with mayors and other elected officials, fun parades with festooned Active Day busses, entertainment and other member appreciation events.
“Our centers are supported by strong leaders and a dedicated staff who genuinely care about their members and local community. National Adult Day Services Week is only a sampling of what Active Day does every day,” says Bob Creamer, Chief Executive Officer. “We make it a priority to celebrate a healthy, active lifestyle on a daily basis.” Plan to stop by an Active Day adult day health center sometime that week and participate in fun activities!
Designed to be a cost effective alternative to home health services, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, Active Day’s state-of-the-art adult day care centers offer a daytime program of nursing care, social services, nutritious meals and therapeutic activities for elderly and disabled adults. Each of our adult day health centers enables frail, elderly and disabled adults to live at home and remain independent in their communities, while receiving health care and supervision during the day, as well as providing relief and respite for caregivers.
