Active Day Announces New General Counsel

Active Day, the premier provider of adult day health services, recently named Patricia (Patty) Ma as the company’s first General Counsel.

“As we approach 100 centers covering 12 states and employing close to 3,000 associates, Active Day has grown in the size and scope for us to require the services of an exceptional attorney to support and lead us in a number of critical areas,” stated Bob Creamer, CEO.

In her role, Patty will lend her expertise on acquisitions, regulatory, compliance and employee matters. Additionally, she will lead the development of a company-wide Compliance Program that reflects the Company’s high standards and expectations of ethical and legal conduct. This Compliance Program will become part of the fabric of day-to-day operations and distinguish Active Day as an exceptional healthcare provider, not one that just meets minimum requirements.

Patty brings a unique mix of experience and knowledge to the organization. She served as General Counsel for private and publicly traded health care companies, overseeing legal and regulatory functions and has significant experience with mergers, acquisitions and other commercial transactions.

“There is a rising number of seniors and disabled adults who will need care, along with their caregivers, in a volatile healthcare market,” states Patty Ma. “I am excited to be part of a dynamic company like Active Day that has been a leader in providing quality services and enhancing the health and happiness of their membership and those who care for them.”
