Active Day Announces Expansion in Ohio

TREVOSE, PA – July 1, 2019 – Active Day, the leading provider of adult day health services in the United States, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bridges Rehabilitation Services with locations in the Cuyahoga and Summit counties of Ohio. The Bridges family of centers will join seven other Active Day centers in the state.

The Bridges acquisition marks the expansion of Active Day services to individuals living with developmental disabilities in Ohio. Active Day acquired three centers in Hamilton County in May of 2017 and one more in September, 2018. This new acquisition adds four centers and fifteen community sites to its portfolio with a focus on providing individuals with a path to employment and greater independence through vocational training, social programming and employment services. Active Day also assumes operations of the Bridges thirty-nine vehicle transportation fleet, providing daily transportation services to their individuals, as well as non-emergency transportation services.

“We are pleased to expand upon our commitment to these services in the Ohio area,” stated Bob Creamer, CEO of Active Day. “We look forward to sharing best practices so we can better serve our members and individuals, both in Ohio and the other states in which we operate.”

While the Bridges centers will retain their name, they join Active Day with a common mission – to provide the highest quality care through fun and engaging communities built on love and trust. Active Day warmly welcomes the employees, individuals and caregivers into the Active Day family.
