I wish to compliment and recognize the Russell Springs Active Day Center for the great service they provide this community.  Under the direction of Rosemary Moore, they provide a level of care to so many people that otherwise would not be able to enjoy a quality life.

                I want to thank Ms. Moore and all the other associates at the center for the wonderful service they provided my mother, [client name].  Through their daily service and care my mother was able to keep her independence at her apartment much longer than she would have otherwise.  The care they gave her will always be remembered by my mother and my family.

                Recently, due to health reasons, it was necessary to move her to our local nursing home,[name]  where she is again receiving excellent care.  A special thank you to Rosemary and her staff at the Adult Active Day Center, for all their hard work and efforts and the months of care they gave my mother.

"On behalf of our family I wish to express our sincere appreciation for all that you did over the past year.  We searched long and hard to find a day program for (Client) that had the right mix of a professional caring staff, physical facilities and activities that would help (Client) to be challenged and entertained.  There are many senior day programs around but none we saw on the level of Deerfield.

            At different times (Client) spoke about the many musical programs, the craft projects, the playing of basketball and golf, field trips to the beach or to Winthrop to watch the planes, and of course going for pizza.  She looked forward in the morning for the van to arrive and truly saw Deerfield as part of her life.  When she would show people pictures taken on the river cruise or at the Fourth of July Party and was always surprised if someone had never heard of Deerfield in Wakefield.

            I know that (Clients) enjoyment in going to Deerfield was a function of its wonderful leadership and staff.  From the people who drove the vans, to the nurses, to those who ran activities, to those who assisted with meals and showers we heard their praises sung by (Client).  As a family we witnessed the joyful caring for Deerfield’s clients on a number of occasions.  You should all be very proud of the quality of the services you provide.

            I realized how dedicated the staff was on the Essex River Cruise when the staff helped everyone down the ramp onto the boat no matter how handicapped a person was and did it all with class.  Then out on the river where the wind off the water was cold I saw a staff member remove this jacket and wrap it about an elderly man who was feeling the chill.  At the moment no one had to tell me about the quality of your people.

            Due to problems (Client) was having at home and the difficulties I had in helping her it became necessary to seek a 24-hour setting.  She is currently living at another facility program for people with Alzheimer’s.  We hope she will be as happy there as she was at Deerfield.  On behalf of (Client) family I thank you and wish you continued success.  Please share our thanks with everyone on Deerfield’s staff."

"It is my pleasure to write an unsolicited note complimenting my homemaker, (staff member) from the Preferred Home Care Service.  She started to work for me over 5 months ago and after having a nice homemaker who left I thought I might end up with a questionable one at the best.  She proved me wrong!

            (staff Member) is an excellent homemaker making sure everything is cleaned. Dusting, vacuuming, washing the floors; laundry and her great cooking are done in a proper fashion without any hassles.  She is always pleasant, never has any problems understanding me.  Even going to the grocery store is no problem for the great homemaker.  She even cooked Lasagna for my Thanksgiving dinner during the time alotted.

            This woman works full time at another job and sill comes to my apartment and shows that she’ll do her best at both places.  Her supervisor, (staff member) is the one who is very careful about who does my homemaking services anyway, but this (staff member) is everything a great homemaker should be!

            I must include that (staff member) is a pleasure to deal with also, always friendly and willing to listen if I have had a problem with a sub homemaker or when I might have to change on the days I have appointments.  (staff member) is highly regarded as the best Homemaker and service I’ve dealt with!"
